If you knew what you know now about your fur baby what would be the one thing you wish you would have been told or even knew when you first got him or her just curious?

Well, this applies to all the kitties I’ve had, but just, all the intricacies of nutrition, which has improved so much over the years, including pro and prebiotics. There are so many more options now, it’s good to have a handle on the variety.

I wish tbh that I would have known was big she would get and how small she would stay . Sometimes I wonder ? If I’m any good as a pet parent you know . End up getting having to take her at 6 weeks . And told the person I wanted to wait but they insisted on me taking her as soon as I could . I love her but sometimes I can’t always give her the things I want her to have lol . She’s like my kid in my heart lol

I wish we had known our cat's age. He came from a hoarder and all the cats who were rescued had health problems. His teeth were in such bad condition our vet who is a feline specialist couldn't even give us an approximate age but rather a three year window.

That he had vomiting issues... it may have led to an earlier diagnosis of IBD and not turn into SCL... But, then again, I probably would not have adopted him.

I wish I had known that two cats would not be too much to handle. I might have adopted my cat and one of her floofball brothers at the same time. But then I might not have wound up adopting my little one, who is an absolute joy, two years later. I guess sometimes things work out a certain way for a reason.

I got Willow from a Humane Society shelter as a one year old. Her cage card said she had been surrendered, spayed and adopted, then returned two weeks later for being too fearful. Because of that adoption, her original surrender records weren’t available so I have no idea what happened to her before then and I so would love to know her story.

Our Russell had been very severely burned when we found each other at the shelter 12 years ago. He healed and adjusted really quickly from that experience, but I always wonder what had happened to him. Our previous cat Story showed up in our yard one day almost dead from starvation. We had 4 love-filled years with him, but I've never stopped wondering what his story was before he came to us.

:yeah: Oh I know, there are so many “what were their lives like before?” questions I have as well. I think you just have to take them from where they are in the now & let them “tell” you their history, work out their traumas and fears and trust issues with you.
