The only option for me would be to turn it in (and hope nobody claims it).
I think that's wrong! If no one claims it than it should go to those guys who found it whether it's drug money or not!Originally Posted by clixpix
From what I hear, as the money is almost certainly drug money, the workers will not be able to claim the money if (when, really) it remains unclaimed.
Eva, I never thought about the possibility of it being counterfeit...that would be scary!

If you could somehow do so anonymously, with no paper trail, that would be a great thing to do with it.Originally Posted by Xulili
And of couorse my donation to charity would be a nice one that year.

That's just what I heard when I first heard the news story. I think it's considered evidence.Originally Posted by SwampWitch

The authorities cannot prove it was drug money... 30 - 50% of U.S. bills in circulation have traces of cocaine on them.

If the money was unclaimed and not returned to the finder, the matter should be taken to court.
I like this explanation. I feel like if it were a couple hundred dollars, it would probably be someone's paycheck, but if it is $100,000 in cash, who carries that much money around except some kind of criminal??Originally Posted by calico2222
