Can our mall be handicat accessible, so kitties with special needs like my Forest can get around and enjoy everything, too? (It goes without saying that it would be accessible for humans with special needs, too.)

These are all such wonderful ideas! How I wish we could really do it! It would take a big, vibrant city with a lot of tourism to help support it... and an easygoing, openminded city, which certainly lets out MY area.

I'm thinking a central location like Chicago would be good, because the mall would include a state-of-the-art facility for cat and dog (and ferret and parrot and gerbil and etc.) shows and conventions! And our veterinary clinic would be a research and teaching hospital, where vets from all over could come to learn new things.

And in our main offices, we would have a brilliant staff of media and public policy specialists dedicated to animal causes -- and their top priorities would be:

1. Intensify and enforce laws against animal cruelty.

2. Promote spaying/neutering and TNR (including fundraising to provide free services).

3. Eradicate the practice of declawing once and for all.

Our parking facilities would all be underground, so the building complex could be surrounded by a series of beautiful, natural landscapes where old or ill or injured critters could live -- various wild-animal habitats, a farm animal pasture, a huge wooded place for dogs to run and play... and even an outdoor shelter for feral cats.

And we'd have a theater in the mall that would show animal movies! "Hotel For Dogs," "March of the Penguins," "Homeward Bound!"

THIS WOULD BE SO GREAT! Does anybody know a rich entrepreneur?

Sorry, Carol, I know no rich entrepreneurs.
Do like your idea of providing a wild area. And must include The Aristocats in the theater.

"Everybody want to be a cat..."

Yes, Tari, the mall would be accessible for handicapped kitties. Maybe a little battery cart for Forest?

Oh, we also need a rock shop for the rockhounds here. Besides, small tumbled stones and Large loose beads make great cat toys.

Ummm...we probably wouldn't want to arm Forest with a battery cart...he'd TOTALLY terrorize the other kitties.
It's a great idea for some of the more mild-mannered handicats, though.

Okay, then carpeted areas and ramps for Forest and other kitties like him.

Ari would probably like those carts.
