Ideas For Introducing Kittens to Solid Foods Needed

Be careful about feeding them anything too liquid. One of my friends just lost a kitten to aspiration pneumonia from this. My experience is that they are developmentally able to handle semi-solid food a week or two before they can handle liquids without snarfing it up their little noses.

Thanks for the heads up - they do get it up their noses but seem to sneeze it out again within seconds. Snarfing is a good, descriptive term for what it is they do ... then of course, Lexus comes along right behind them to lick off any last particles of the baby food from their little faces - talk about your BF addicts! I declare that little brown nose of hers could find chicken or turkey meat baby food even if it were buried under a huge pile of cow poop. She'd just dig and scrape away til she got to the baby food. LOL
