Just kidding. As others have suggested, latex gloves are the way to go. Two gloves on each hand just in case the first one rips or breaks. Try to get the powdered ones, it makes putting them on and taking them off a lot easier. The only thing with this method is the smell the gloves leave on your hands. To deal with this, your Mum can rub half a lemon all over her hands, then rinse and this will remove the 'latexy' smell when she's finished for the day.
