oh please don't spay until just before the first heat...there is no need to spay that early. the little kitty will be exposed to anasthetic which lowers the immune system and can get quite ill...as well the pain threshold is a lot lower in younger kitties...it's just not necessary to do it so early...

Mixy is the kitten's mother, not the kitten. There's a picture of mother cat and kitten together in the Pregnant Cats and Kitten Care section of this forum with the post title of "Mixy and baby", she's very cute mother kitty.

you will find that the majority of us on here have researched the early spay and neuter and WOULD NEVER allow a heat cycle prior to spay if at all possible ... the have a heat is a wives tale
