Well my baby has always had soft served ice cream poops but then early in December 2015 her poop turned into diaherra. The pure liquid stinky and drippings from her butt. I took her to Vet - since she was a baby she has been tested for EVERYTHING and nothing then the last time she had blood poop and urine tested NOTHING. I changed food to taste of the wild trout and salmon added pumpkin too and still liquid poop. She had the metrolyzine and that helped for 2 days. After she eats about an hour she gives a hurting Yelp then goes poop liquid or a little nickel size dropping. I tear up every time from her pain but I know she wants to live.
Last Friday I thought I was going to have to put her down but her love and purring and energy is all there. She lost 2 lbs since May. So I went to the vet alone to talk about everything I have done review all her test results etc.. Yes me crying the whole time. I didn't want to bring Maggie bc she cries being in the car/ carrier plus I needed one on one w the vet. Then he goes we can do the biopsy but from all of this I strongly think this is IBD. 45 mins spent w the vet very caring. He goes let's start on prednisone I said ok. So since last Friday she has been on it but no changes in her poop since being on prednisone.
After reading numerous websites and blogs and I called RadFood I decided to make the switch. I bought the version and a good pre/probiotic. Note Maggie and her sister Belle are my kids and are treated like kids. She has had her first mixture of taste of the wild and RadFood tonight to start the weaning process. She at the venison- a little iffy at first but she ate it.
I pray this works. Chronic diarrhea, yelping after eating (about 40-60mins after eating) liquid poop out of butt droppings near the litter box. About 3-5 times a day. Most likely IBD I just need help understanding other people's experience w IBD BUT NOTE no vomitting what so ever by Maggie. It's frustrating and I would do anything to take the pain away from her.
Praying for RadFood to help.
