I Wonder If He Could Be Part Rex?

I know Sirius would be classified as a DSH (domestic short hair) as he is obviously not a purebred of any sort, but his features make me think of rex breeds. Or perhaps he is just too skinny? He eats every day as a normal kitten would and he doesn't have worms or anything...

He is about 8 months old and he has very long legs, body and tail, small head and very large ears... he is also quite skinny compared to our other kitten that is the same age as him.

This is Sirius:

And this is our other kitten, Remus who looks like the typical moggie DSH. He has a much larger head and body than Sirius with much shorter legs.

He could have some Cornish Rex ancestry. But its more probable the ancestry is Oriental, or even siamese.

Of the three breeds are siameses the most common. And thus statistically most probable.

And a siamese, say a seal point mixed out with a non siamese, could easily give this here result. A black somewhat look alike in body structures.

btw, are these kittens young men, littermates, or they just happen to be the same age?

They are not littermates but they are the same age.

They were in adjacent cages at the shelter and had bonded with each other during playtime there :)

I have no info about either kittens' parents though.

I agree with StefanZ. I think Sirius could have some Oriental or Siamese in him, because his head is approaching the wedge shape, and he has a lean body with big ears. Both kittens are very cute!

Thanks! I never considered Siamese/oriental! I forgot how similar they were in body shape to rexes.
