I went shopping, and when I came home, my mother and I heard this loud, screaming meow. We called "kitty kitty" and one of our stray cats came, and we thought it was her. We got her situated (she was in labor with her kittys! YAY!) and then came to realize that the meowing persisted. We took a flashlight, and by a fence, surrounded by trees, there was an adorable little female kitten, maybe 6-10 weeks old, just started eating solid food, grey and black striped tabby with brown mixed in, and a grey and black raccoon-like tail. She is absolutely adorable!
Well, we couldn't just leave her out there. When we found her, she ran straight up to us. We then knew she was someone's pet once upon a time, or that she had gotten out of someone's house. We fed the lucky little lady, and she inhaled the food. She was quite scared at first, but then she grew to know that I wouldn't hurt her. She's very playful, yet at the same time she plays, she snuggles. I know, I know, it sounds weird, but it sure is cute!!! She is such a sweety!
We are keeping her in a room, that is in our house, but where my kitties can't go. Then,we are going to bring her down to a local no-kill shelter, so she can find a good home. I'm very glad we found her, because some of our neighbors aren't exactly animal people. Just to put it simply, they have killed a pretty good amount of cats before, already. It's so sad. I feel bad for them.
They let the cats have kittens, take responsibility for the kittens, and then let them starve to death. It's so very sad. I also very much suspect that they kick and hurt them.
However, I am so very glad that my mother and I found this lucky little lady!
