My kitties do seem to intentionally try to calculate when I'm going to take a step (especially over stairs or doorways) and purposely run right into the path of my feet just for the sole purpose of tripping me (I think so they can go and hide behind the couch and have their giggles).
Luckily I've had both my girls since they were kittens (though they still are) so they are pretty much not shy around anyone.
