I am researching rabies because I was feeding a couple of strays and one got jealous when I was feeding the other and bit me on my arm.
I have a small scratch type wound. Nothing too deep. Looks like any other scratch, but it was a bite and a some skin was broken. I washed and put alcohol on it.
I am worried just a little since these strays were neutered a couple of weeks ago by the local TNR program. They showed up where I live just when they were released or a day or 2 later from surgery, and I know this because their hair on their bellies was newly shaved with a green tattoo made by the TNR people.
Supposedly, when they neuter them they also vaccinate for rabies and feline leukemia.
So if this cat was vaccinated 2 weeks ago against rabies, do you think there is a good chance he does not have it?
He is not aggressive, I think he was just overwhelmed by something I did. Surely my fault anyways.
I am thinking about retiring from helping cats lol... too many risks. (kidding)
