I remember when I got Gizmo she would only sleep in the living room on, or under, the big sofa. Then she came and got into bed with me and purred and started kneading my shoulder. I can tell you that was a delightful moment. There's nothing quite like having the furball around. I turn over a lot at night so I make sure not to roll onto her; but she sometimes falls out of bed when chasing bed mice!
If your husband doesn't mind, it's not a bad thing to have them around. It's the longest time of the day I spend with Gizmo, too.
