I think soSophie is pregnant but don't know for sure.
Sophie is about 9 months old. She went into her first heat about a month ago and got outside once in that time (3 weeks ago tomorrow). She got out when I was leaving the house and I was in a rush and and ankle brace and couldn't get back in the house. I left the porch door open a crack for her to come in while I was gone. When I got home, I found her inside with a tuxedo tom.
Her only symptoms thus far is she's hungrier than usual and her heat stopped the day after she got out.
My vet offered to have her spayed now but I didn't feel comfortable with that. I have no problem taking on the responsibility of the kittens until they find homes and she will be spayed once she is able.
I asked my vet for care tips and he basically said she'll be fine. I asked if she needs to see him and he said no.
This has left me with the responsibilty of my beautiful queen and zero guidance whatsoever.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed!
