I got him as a kitten 8 years ago I've moved from CT to FL then to CO he has acclaimed fine in all 3 states but my kids are getting older and I'm starting to wonder how long his life expectancy is. My heart will break when it's time. Obviously I'm going to outlive hi. But I just wanted to be prepared. Hes my yuh youngest baby. I attached a lot of pics

Welcome to the site. :)

I am not a breed specialist, but shoot, eight years is nothing on a cat, they can easily live into their twenties. Hi is awfully cute, I love white cats.

I'd say he's a domestic medium hair. His fur looks a little longer than a DSH. Are both of his eyes blue? Is he completely white? How's his hearing? Some all white blue-eyed cats are born deaf, so it would be interesting to know if he can hear or not.

8 years old isn't old at all for a cat but I would recommend that you take him for regular health checks, at least once a year now and then every six months once he reaches 10. As cats age they suffer from kidney, liver and heart problems, as well as diabetes and thyroid problems the way older humans do. A regular blood test will catch any problems before they develop. Quite often diet changes are all that's needed to make sure cats live into a long and healthy old age.

I'm going with domestic too.

As for age, we adopted an 8-1/2 year old cat years ago and he lived to be just under 18 years old. Pretty good life span so no need to be worried at this point. With good care, he'll be with you for a long time!
