Are you a breeder?

It depends on the extent of the surgery. The vet should be able to tell you.

She should be able to feed right away, but if she is not up for it then you will have to feed the kittens a little longer. She should have lots of milk and be ready to nurse, but she could be sore. Let us know how she is after you bring her home.

The momma looks like a modern persian.  But trying to be a breeder for real, or just having some litters, are two different things.

If you arent decided to BE a breeder, do spay.  Also,  a queen whom seems to have troubles with pregnancy / delivery, is best not to have as your  matriarch...  You dont want difficulties next time too, and you dont want to send  unsuitable genes on, either.

So as the vet did spayed her now, while he did this "cesarean" it was surely the very best.

It sounds like you have a very good vet. Sometimes the pain is felt more on the second day following surgery, so if she seems lethargic or uncomfortable this is why. It's good to hear that she is eating and drinking and nursing the babies. Make sure they are getting enough, but I'm sure they very glad to see their mom! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Definitely early but he looks fine! Make sure to never force their eyes open, the rest will open on their own over the next week or so.

The room their nest is in should also be dark. The kittens' eyes are very sensitive.

Make sure there is a night light of some sort so you can see where the kittens are when you enter the room  You do not want to step on one.
