Ruby had her babies yesterday. One of the babies is extremely small and actually lookds underdeveloped compared to the rest of the litter. On the Ruby had babies thread, I mentioned that she had to be resucitated...so she had a bumpy ride into this world.
Last night she was nursing fine, but everytime I checked, she would be off the nipple and I would get her back on one.
This morning, I have managed to get her on a nipple twice, but now she is not taking it.
Here the question: Do you think she is just full and trying to rest or is she slipping away? I know that my human daughter was very small (5lb. 11oz.) and I nursed her more frequently but for shorter periods of time than a bigger baby would. I'm hoping that's the case here. Any advice is appreciated!
