but thankfully I found it again. My Dongle is what I use to plug my Fitbit into the computer to charge. I knew my battery was getting low, so I brought my Dongle into work yesterday, thinking I'd charge it before my lunch walk. (Takes about 3 hours for a full charge.) Well, as so often happens with me, I got busy and completely forgot about it.

Got home last night and did my chores. It was time for bed and I got an email from Fitbit that my battery was low. Went to get my Dongle out of my bag and.....no Dongle. Rick just looked at me and shook his head. I figured it dropped out of my bag at work, so I got in the car and came in. Sure enough, the Dongle was under a chair in my office. Grabbed said Dongle, went back home, and connected the Fitbit.

I may check into getting another Dongle to keep at work. Or to have when I lose it again....and never find it. It's just a matter of time.

You just started this thread so you could say "I lost my dongle" and then say 'dongle' a lot more.

And you even threw in a couple of 'fitbits'..

I know you did.. I understand... If I lost my dongle I'd want to start an  "I lost my dongle" thread too....

All I lost today was my back door key and that just doesn't cut it...

When I came into work on Tuesday night to look for my dongle, there was a meeting going on in the board room. One of my work GFs was in the meeting and, when she saw me coming through the hallway, she came out and asked me what I was doing here. I told her that I was lost my dongle. She did a double-take and said, "I don't even want to know!" Then she figured it out, started laughing and went back to her meeting. Wednesday morning, she came into work and came down to my office and said, "So....did you find your dongle?"

There you go.... you're doing it again.

I'm not sure that we should be encouraging you...

I swear this is like reading a Monty Python routine!  I have visions of John Cleese marching madly about.

I am giggling like a nut today. Probably because I am overly tired, but this thread made me giggle. My coworkers are giving me that look too.

Dongle...that word belongs in a song.  Something to hum in the grocery store or while doing dishes.
"Don't let your dongle dangle in the dirt

Put it in your pocket where it won't get hurt.

If you don't have a pocket, tie it to your skirt.

But don't let your dongle dangle in the dirt"

(to the tune of 10 green bottles)

(with apologies to someone or other... probably those army chaps who chant something similar but I really don't know what they mean....)

I love it!! Much more sophisticated than the version of "the dongle song" that's been forming in my head! I'm not even sure i could put it down on paper...it changes with each chore.
