I won't bore you with the long story (again) about my IBD cat's medical issues. I have posted about it in other threads.
This is the problem that I am finding almost impossible to solve. I do not want to feed only dry (even though the vet says it is okay--long story), but I cannot seem to find a canned food that has everything I am looking (and not looking) for. I need a canned food that has ONLY duck--no other proteins-- and that is grain-free and NOT pâté style, because my cat hates it and will only eat slices. I would prefer no carageenan, but that might not be feasible. I have done a lot of research and just can't seem to come up with anything.
She has turned her nose up at the Blue Basics wet food, even though she loves the dry formula. She licked and walked away from the Nature's Variety LID canned duck. These are both pâtés, but I decided to give them a try anyway, to no avail. I know that Natural Balance has a LID duck food, but I believe that it is also pâté. Candidae Pure has a sliced duck food, but it does have chicken fat in it, so I am not sure if that would be a problem. She loves but cannot have any more the Wellness sliced salmon. If only Wellness made a sliced duck food!
Does anyone have any ideas, or is it hopeless?
Raw is not an option by the way. I believe that uncooked meat is dangerous.
