I'm so excited!!
Growing up, and actually up until Mom passed 5 years ago, Christmas dinner was italian breaded steak. DH's family always does ham or turkey so I usually make it for just us Christmas weekend but money was tight and it's not a cheap meal to make. But since we got another pay we splurged and got all the ingredients over the weekend.
So it will be breaded steak (not to be confused with country fried steak...this is baked), parsley potatoes, stewed tomatoes, peas, green beans (because DH hates peas), candied sweet potatoes, rolls and I have NO idea for dessert.
I'm going to have to get started soon. The steak doesn't take that long, the prep work for the breading is what takes hours! I just hope my bad luck streak from yesterday is over and everything turns out ok. It's just not Christmas for me until I smell that cooking!
