So here is the odd situation I have been through:
Last Sunday my sister left for LA (I live in the Bay Area) and she left her cat with us for about a week. We let her cat outside and weren't worried at all because this cat loves to explore. On Sunday as my dad was cleaning our yard a bit, he heard meowing across our neighbors fence. We thought it couldve been my sister's cat and we were a bit worried. But probably about 5 minutes later we see her black cat walk by the house, perfectly fine. So we just assumed my neighbor had a cat. Yesterday as my parents were out to work, I heard that same meowing near the fence. I snuck into my neighbor's backyard and was a little curious because it was sorta weird that a cat was just meowing at the same spot of the fence. In my neighbor's backyard, I heard a meow, but this time it was coming from our side of the fence, which was a bit awkward. I returned to our backyard and looked under a couple bushes and found a small kitten sitting all by itself under our grape bushes. It had no siblings nearby and I searched around just incase they were just seperated. I didn't find any so I was afraid that this cat either wandered off and got lost. So I took it inside and gave it a little milk and now its actively running about my room and also hasn't had any accidents and just used a litter box I made out of a cardboard box. I talked with my sister over the phone and she said she could possibly adopt it. A friend of mine identified the kitten as a boy, and he is a very sociable cat, climbing on top of me and into my arms and lap.
I'm just wondering what should I feed it for the meantime, how to care for it and what kind of cat he is. I was thinking he is a pixie-bob but I just wanna make sure of it.
All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
