After much thought and consideration, I've finally decided on names for my two female guinea pigs.
I've decided on the names Libby and Rory. My golden and white, dutch-patterned girl is to be Libby. She's also the one with the pink eyes. She is the more dainty and shy of the two and I just feel that the name Libby suits her personality. I think it's an adorable name and unusual enough that it's not heard all the time. I had considered other names as well -- ranging from the common to the unusual. But, in the end, one of the first names I thought of won out. And, Rory I named because it was the first name that came to mind after I saw her for the first time. She's the more boisterous and rambunctious of the two and, for reasons unbeknownst to me, the name Rory, to me, sounds fun-loving and full of life. So, Rory it is.
I still wish I could've gone with a funky name like Kokopelli, but it just didn't seem to work (not to mention that I was reminded time and time again that the name was masculine). But, you never know, maybe there will be a Kokopelli in my future yet
.
Now I just need to get some photos taken and uploaded...
