You shouldn't have to live in conditions like that. If that happens again, complain, complain, complain! Youhave the right to live in conditions that are suitable for humans not penguins! If you get sick think about who's going to pay for the doctor bill, certainly not them. So I think you have every right to tell them to turn up the heat.

London is only about 20 minutes from here, but it always seems to get the cooler weather, and the most snow

We got a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer for about $30 from Radioshack.. which is now called The Source I think. And it's pretty good, We've had it since 2002 and haven't had a problem with it at all. It records maximum and minimum temps as well, though not the ones inbetween.

I'd definately invest in a couple of theremometers! And don't hestitate to ask your landlord to turn the heat up, you have a right to have warm buttocks!
