Hello! I am a 16 year old female, blond hair, blue eyes, I am a sophmore in high school, all that boring stuff.
Now the fun stuff! I work (volunteered previously for 2 years before) at my local animal shelter. It is a kill shelter, which unfortuanately, kills many cats and kittens each year. But, that's the yucky stuff that you don't want to hear about. I enjoy spending time with both the dogs and the cats, but the cats are my little project, because there are not many people at the shelter that actually spend time with the cats. At the shelter I spend my time cleaning the cat room, taking pictures of the cats for my webshots homepage, and doing the other wonderful cleaning tasks.
I want to be either a veterinarian or a veterinary technician when I go to college.
My family owns a 10 year old Beagle, and 2 cats!
One of the cats name is Socks, and he is a beautiful silver tabby with white mixed in. We got him from the local humane society 2 years ago, and he is about 3 years old. He is beautiful!
Our other cat is quite the clown. He is a 1 and a half year old brown tabby with white mixed in. I think he is partially mentally retarded because he was very sick at a young age. As the story goes, we fostered him and his family when he was a kitten from the shelter that I work at, and at our house they came down with an upper respiratory virus. One kitten died from it, it was so bad. One night we found Milo with snot covering his entire nose, and he was breathing heavily through his mouth. His lips and tongue were blue. After we cleaned him up and they all got better, it was time to take them back to the shelter. Suddenly, we found that there was no way that we could live without the little bundle of fur that we later named Milo. He has grown up into a clown, doing strange things. He shreds toilet paper, has an obcession with hiding under things (rugs, paper, boxes, etc), "burys" his food and water, even though there is nothing to bury them with, amoung other crazy antics. I'm sure you will hear about them all very soon.
My nickname for Milo is "Kutin", which I got from putting "cute" and "kitten" together. Milo thinks his name is Kutin, because every time I say it he meows. So that is the meaning behind my screename.
We love out two cats immensly, and they are the center of our lives! (Not to mention Milo always has to be the center of attention, because whenever we don't pay enough attention to him, he plops down in the middle of the floor, right in the walking path so that we nearly break our necks tripping over him!)
Well, that's me in a nutshell!
