I accidentally stepped on my friends cat

I didnt see him BC he's all black cat and the hall way was dark and he was laying on something in the whole which was also black so do to it I accidentally stepped on him and I have no clue on where I'm just really worried for him bc he's still almost full grown cat but kitten size bc he didn't grow right and do it, it has me honestly scared

Oh no! It happens often with black cats so don't beat yourself up. What is the kitty doing now? Watch for panting/fast breathing and any unusually quiet behavior such as hiding or lethargy or swelling of the abdomen.
