My hyperthyroid kitty Baby Fido started drooling a little after eating tonight. I just wiped her mouth and she seems okay. Is this part of her symptons? Anyone with a hyperthyroid kitty have this happen?
Hi. I am sorry no one has responded to your post yet. In all of the threads I have read about this condition, I don't recall (nor, could I find in a search) any mention of drooling. How old is your cat? Is it possible it might be related to a dental issue? I suppose she could be feeling a bit nauseous, but if she is eating pretty well, I would guess it would be more likely to be mouth related.
Hope other members will come along soon and offer some ideas!
Drooling can often mean nausea. It's been a long time; but one of my cats had thyroid and kidney issues. She needed an antacid along with her other meds. The vet prescribed it. I would give your vet a call and see what they think.
