Good afternoon fellow cat lovers

My cat who is almost 2 years old was bitten by a tick and initially did not eat for 5 days and had a fever of 105 degrees
On doxycycline for one month and is much better, however her whole personality has changed. This is a cat that hunted from morning to dusk and now refuses to go out and is not cleaning herself. Any one else have some insight on this behaviour. Also she does not stop eating and before would just eat once a day

Hi! Welcome!!

Have you had a chance to talk to your vet about these changes and why they're happening? If not you need to, because the constant eating is something they need to know about.

Are you able to help her by brushing her and if necessary wiping under her tail? Look for chemical-free wipes, and ensure that the wipe doesn't leave her fur too damp. A hygiene trim under her tail could be helpful as well.

Also be sure to weigh her to determine if she is underweight, and monitor her food intake so that she doesn't become overweight. If you have a bathroom scale, that can work every couple weeks so that you know what is going on.
