They are beautiful birds. I hope I can see a real one someday, not just in photos or videos.

They are glorious esp their songs & well worth it, Maria…but the awe of a scarlet tanager is unforgettable. Don’t know where in the world you are but it is hard not to spot a cardinal: look for the tops of trees & a liquid, generous call.

I am in the Middle East, a gulf region. I see only pigeons here.
And my budgies who are in the kitchen.
I am dying to meet these fellas and hear their songs.

Come visit me in Texas. Tons of a wide variety of birds. Thier song makes me think of my cat coco it's like a high pitched pop noise
