How worried do I need to be about catching roundworms from my kitten?

I adopted a kitten last week that I found as a stray. She's been diagnosed with roundworms, and prescribed 4 weekly doses of Pyrantel Parmoate, the first dose given last week. She's very active and playful so I'm sure she'll make a full recovery.

Thing is, though, I'm PARANOID about her spreading roundworm eggs! I've been cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, wiping her bottom with a baby wipe every so often, but even after cleaning last night, my apartment just feels GROSS. I'm scared to let the kitten touch me, it's that bad. Kitty is fairly clean; I did see little bitty flakes of poo on her bum this morning though, which I cleaned. I'm terrified to go to a friend's house today, because "what if a bit of poop gets on me, and then I take it to her house and it gets on her carpet where her baby plays?"

I'm OCD and I'm not sure how to handle 3 more weeks of this. Any other cat owners deal with this? Can you provide me some advice on how to get through this without freaking out?
