Your cat would not become feral after being missing for two months. He obviously has been through quite an ordeal and is very stressed and injured thus would act in a way as if he had been to war and back. First thing I am hoping you took the cat to your vet immediately. They would be able to assess and answer your questions to reassure you. I think the chances of rabies may be possible if your cat had not had the vaccines regularly. Even more of a concern to me would be FIV which is contracted by a deep cat bite wound, if the cat was in a cat fight while lost.Long story short ,lost my cat 2 month ago .Found just now , gone feral . After a bloody recovery , was wondering how to tell if my cat has rabies?
