How to take a pic with a time stamp

Someone suggested I do that for a nature competition
How? It's a daisy we haven't had in nw houston for decades that i know of and only one showed up
It's kinda funny

There's a way to set it for a time/date stamp, but it's different for each camera. Look up the model you have on the Internet and see if you can find the directions.
