Hello, people.
I am not a "cat-person", but I also do not like to hurt animals.
At an old, inexpensive manufactured house, there are apparently
several feral cats living in the crawl space underneath the house.
To my knowledge, nobody has been feeding them.
I Must remove them, because of the smell in the house.
There may have also been cats in the house.
Of course, I will remove the carpet / flooring as a start.
Then, How can I get rid of the cats?
How to trap them, and then what should I do with them?
Finally, how to get rid of that smell under the house?
Thanks, people.

Hi, are you in an area where there are organizations who do Trap/neuter/Release? Typically these cats are released back where they were originally located, but in your case obviously, something else will need to be arranged for them. TNR folks can help you with that.

You'll then need to block off access to underneath.

You may need to talk with possibly a plumber or an animal control person regarding the smell under the house, although I'm thinking that once you clean the interior with an enzymatic cleaner and the cats are gone, the odor will dissipate. Cats don't pee where they sleep.
