I read on Hare Today that it is ok to thaw meat and refreeze it.

They recommended placing food into ice tray, then use convenient cubes.

I cant find on any commercial raw site, or here any evidence that it is recommended.

I want to use radcat, or other brands chubs, but there is no way these kitties will eat it that fast.

Thanks

Hi Korina,

When I used Rad cat and Hare Today, here is what I did:

Hare today: Defrost the chubs under COLD water, mix the supplement, make meal/portion-size ziplock baggies and refreeze. Every meal I would pull one ziplock baggie, defrost under warm water and serve.

Rad Cat: Simmilar Process, but I would put the tub in a large ziplock bag, immerse it in cold water to defrost, portion size into small ziplock baggies and refreeze.
At the time of feeding I would defrost one and serve.

If you're asking if it is OK to thaw and refreeze in smaller portions, it is. I do it all the time.
