I know you said the new owners have other cats for her to be around but I would make sure they know she needs quarentined for awhile so she can get her vaccines, deworming, and most importantly testing for FIV and FeLV and also have that URI treated so she doesn't infect their other cats. I hope they know that or else that you told them...

Ooh definitely! Explain the situation, offer to pay a pet deposit, if they are worried about claw damage offer to use soft paws (plastic claw covers). It sounds like they might be willing to work with you. After all it's one tiny kitten, not a Great Dane ya' know?
