I know this is a silly question, but how much water does the average cat drink in a day (24 hours)? We have 2 water bowls in the house, with two cats and we re-fill the bowls every evening. Both of them mostly drink in the morning or at night, but don't touch the water during the day.

I'm just wondering.

I don't think cats do much of anything during the day
I think as long as you are refilling the bowls, and they are peeing routinely, you're OK.

Cool. They do get dry for breakfast. So if they're going through 8-10 oz combined each day, that's not odd. Thanks. I feel better. We got them a new refilling water bowl and it glugs - which I can hear at night, so I started worrying thy were drinking too much.

We get 1-2 pees each day for each of them (2 for Freya since I think she has a smaller bladder) and they're definitely not dehydrated.
