how much should my cats sleep and does it differ from breed to breed. because i have two cats one sleeps all day and plays in the backyard at sunrise and after sunset and the other is the opposite way around plays all day and sleep at sunrise or sunset

As far as I know it does not differ much from breed to breed.  There is no real specified 'right' amount for them to sleep that I know of, either, but most cats sleep a LOT- some up to 20 hours in a 24 hour period, and most at least 16 hours in a 24 hour period.

Maybe thats the reason why they sleep almost the whole day
