How much should a 12 week old kitten be eating??

Someone pointed out in another thread that normally they have to weigh 1 kg before they can be desexed. Does it say on his papers how much he weighed at the time of surgery? I'm surprised a vet would do it if the babies didn't weigh enough, but if he DID weigh that much and lost almost half that, it would really be concerning.

he weighed 630gm when he got desexed

he weighed 480 about a month ago.

and the breeder mentioned to me he should be 700gm before desexing.

800 grams is the bare minimum I've heard of and it's extraordinarily rare. 1kg minimum is the standard weight which many kittens are by 10 weeks of age

My 12 week old kitten was small when I got him but now weighs 1.6 kgs. I feed him a third of a pouch of Whiskas wet food three times a day and dry food is there for him to snack on. I also give him water all day and cat milk once a day. He seems to be thriving.
