Just my 4 that I have now, and maybe a 1/2 cat that belonged to my neighbour and I kept him for a bit after she died until her son finally came to collect him after a few months

How many (adult) cats have you had in your lifetime?

Just the 7 who live with my ex-husband, I didn't get cats until I was an adult
Current cat is still a kitten.

I only counted the cats that I have had as an adult. I had many adult cats as a child to many to count. Plus I have saved many strays but found them new homes. Cats that I chose to keep forever are 6. Scruffy who is 13, Simba who passed away this year at 10, Cala who is 7, Willow who is 6, Veeshan who is 2, and Kingston who is 9 months.
Lets see, Mitten, Muffin, Kisa, Desi, Cassanova, Raggy, Reds, Lady, Tiki, Spooky, Taz, Lily, Freddie, Ling, Charlie.
Mitten, Muffin, Raggy, Reds, Ling were all mixed breed HHPs.
Kisa and Cassanova were mother/son Russian Blues.
Desi, Lady, Tiki, Spooky, Taz, and Lily were Cornish Rexes.
Freddie was a Turkish Angora.
Charlie is our Ocicat.
So 15 total over the years
And Lady and Lily were my breeding rexes, but we didn't keep any of the kittens except for Taz and Tiki (both were Lady's kids ).

Technically...I guess one: Muffin, the kitty I grew up with. However, I like to consider my sisters cat, Jerry, as also partially mine because I love him so much and I feel like I take care of him more than she does sometimes.

Tinkerbell, Tippytoe and Scooter when I was a kid. Twiggy and Bella as an adult myself. That's 5.

I count 17 from the first ones I remember, to Riley who I have now. Most were family pets when I was a child. On my own, I've had 4 counting Riley.
