I guess my longest would be somewhere in the range of 2-3 years; I'd probably still be there if the business hadn't been bought out and the office staff no longer required.
Sometimes I wonder how they're getting along without us office staff, because the only people holding the business together were myself and the accounts payable/human resources manager. *le sigh*
Well, I worked for my dad part time in high school and college but that isn't a real job so I won't count that. When I got out of school I had a temporary job for a few months and then got the job I'm at now. I've been with them for 14 months. I'm probably leaving soon to find something closer to home though. I've been driving 2 hours a day for all that time and it's getting old.
I've worked for the same company for 14 years, but I haven't always had the same position here. The longest I was in the same position was 5 years (the first position I had here.)
Three and a half years at my old company. In all fairness it was the worst job I've ever had in my life, and I can't believe I lasted that long there. The job I've had now I've been at for almost a year, and I still like it a lot.
Just made 20 years last August. I really can't believe it since they have been threatening to lay me off for the last 20 (the first threat came at 6 months).
And they did change the company name 3 times. Really weird saying I worked for ----- for 20 years and they've only been incorporated for 5.
