I pulled a few kittens the other day from a local shelter where they'd been surrendered/seized from a hoarding situation. One is a very unique color and I think she may be a lilac, but I'm not certain. There was an adult male that color and another juvenile kitten, along with multiple Siamese-type cats, to give you an idea of what was in the gene pool.
I am working on photos now, but she doesn't look like any blue cat I've ever seen, but might be a silver? I've only ever seen silver in a blue tabby situation where the stripes are dark to black and the color is not blue but not brown either, and actually looks silver. If I had to describe this girl's color, I'd say lavender.
OK...so the photos didn't turn out, the flash makes her look blue. She is bluish but very soft blue--not the Russian blue color and not grey either.
