How do you boil your eggs?

My mom had an actual egg boiler. Like, a whole nother appliance. It plugged in and had eight little egg holder things, and then you filled it with water and turned it on. I think it was Betty Crocker. And from the 60s.
I've only done it once, but I did find then putting them in ice water is helpful!

What about soft boiled eggs? They're always harder to do. I put them into the cold water in the pan, bring to the boil, and boil for around 3 mins, then keep my fingers crossed as I open them
Yep, thats what i do as well

Large or extra large eggs directly from fridge, cover with water, bring to boil. Cover. Shut off burner and let sit in hot water for 16 minutes. Drain. Rinse with cold water. Peel immediately beggining by hitting large end on paper towel covered countertop. Yolks are solid bright yellow with no gray rings.
