Under the cats, mostly.
I have to admit I'd not heard of a glass cat flap before now - I had to look it up - all the others I've seen have been perspex. I'm assuming it would be installed just like your regular cat flap? I can try look it up for you though.....

I would assume that you'd cut the glass with tape around it to prevent cracking and do it with a very sharp, new, glass cutter!

I would expect that a glazier would be a better option for installing one though - to be on the safe side!

maverick_kitten if you could ask him for me that would be soooo fantastic
i'm just concerned that the glazier that i do use won't have a clue what to do and may need some instructions....

I've never had one installed, but I would assume that the glass is probably tempered glass, which makes it stronger and more durable. So, I don't personally think it would crack unless your cat smashes it with a hammer or something.

Good luck.
I think Maverick Kitten is about to give you some good advice, listen to her!

If you mean a flap in a glass door then the instructions are pretty simple and include a template for cutting the glass, which any glazier can do. In my new house I'm going to have the opposite problem - my builder is having to make a tunnel through stone with a door at each end for the cats to get out, the walls are so thick! And the panelled doors are not suitable for catflaps.
