Awww What a wonderful story!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Without the things I learned on TCS about ferals, there is no way that I would have ever even considered adopting one. And it is the information given here on this site that provided me with the proper skills and techniques for socializing him. I gained confidence by reading the stories of other feral/semi-feral cat owners, and I continue to learn as he grows.Originally Posted by valanhb
What a sweet little guy! Betsy, you have really done a wonderful job with him. You've allowed him to be Ferris, and given him the time and patience and love to allow him to trust and love you. The bond you have with him is so incredible!
And you know, when I hear things like this...about a little feral or semi-feral boy learning to love and opening his little heart up...well, then I know why we take the time to give advice in Caring for Ferals, why we advise people that adoping a feral can be so very rewarding, and why we have Save Samoa and Stray Pet Advocacy.Ferris is such a special little guy!
Thank you so much!Originally Posted by Pami
Oh Betsy how heart warming to read this. Ferris seems to be making progress easier and quicker. That little precious red fur ball is finally feeling the loveYou are doing such a fabulous job with him.
I just read in a thread that Ferris and Ging are going to have a new sister, too!! Congratulations! Make sure you talk to them both about the new arrival on a regular basis. As well as you have done with Ferris its going to be a cinch bringing in the new Bengal girl!

Thank you so much!
I have already started telling Ferris and Ginger about their new sister, and I showed them her picture already. They smelled the paper, lol, and I think they were more interested in the smell of ink than the photo itself.
By the time I bring Tinta home, they will have heard her name hundreds of times.I do think that we ought to have a fairly smooth transition!
Oh you are so bad!Originally Posted by neetanddave
