Ugh. Today was so bad! First, the wheel chair lift on our bus stopped working, so I had to manually pump the lift to load a chair. this is a bit strenuous, but not too bad. Other then the fact that my wrist is all ready messed up from doing insulation at my mother in law's house the other day.
Then, when I was going back to my coworkers house for the afternoon, she comes running out from her barn telling me her horse, Thunder, wouldn't get up. Long story short, he was colicing. We found people to fill in for us and we struggled with him for 2-3 hours before we could get a trailer and take him to the vet. Messed up my knee and ankle in the struggles to prevent him from rolling and thrashing (this ties up their stomach and it could rupture= death).
I finally get home, after an hour at the vet and such. Took the dog out, she of course runs off to a nearby field. I come to go in the house, prepared for Lennon, and he ignores my stomp and hiss (normally he backs up) and runs out the door. I catch him (he roams the garage meowing, looking for something fun to roll in) and bring him in. He decided to be a jerk and jumped from my arms, ripping me up on the way. Ugh.
So now I am sore, dehydrated, scratched and bleeding. I really hope tomorrow doesn't go like this!!!
On the plus side, Thunder seems to be ok now. He is spending the night at the vet, and was walking all right by the time we left. I figure I did my good deed for the day by helping her... lets just hope the bosses don't yell at me!
