Horned Claw

Has anyone clipped a horned claw at home??? Any advice?

If you mean the kind that comes out of the other side of the pad and looks like a crab claw, yes, I had a cat who used to have these and I would clip them back when they got long enough to flop over.  I started by just trimming the end and each time went a little closer to the pad it grew out of.  It didn't hurt him and I never cut it short enough to bleed.  It was just basically keratin.

I clipped most of it off today. It scared me at first I had no clue what it was!
