Hopey has gone to a stud - - and gone out of heat

Hopey has finally started showing signs of heat according to Solly's Daddy. I'll let you know when I hear anything!

Its not looking too good

She was squirm out of position yesterday and not allowing it to happen. This morning she went out of heat. I don't know what to do.

I am going to contact my mentor and see what she says.

I've had some breeders hold the female in the right position, but you also have to have a willing male that will let you do that.

I hope you get her bred. Some cats (like people) just may not be cut out to be bred/mothers.

IMO you don't want her to keep going in and out of heat and her not being bred - even tho she's the uncooperative one here. Might have to think about having her spayed and trying to find another breeding female.

My mentor thinks I should try and take her to another boy.

Its really strange how she went into heat for like one day and went out of it so quickly.

Was she with the male at that time - could he have bred her without the breeder knowing it?

I agree with this. Some girl just don't like THAT particular guy! Most breeders I know wont let a breeding girl be neutered unless 3 different males are tried and a full medical check is done to confirm that the female is unable to become pregnant.

I think Hopey's just being fussy about the boy that "deflowers" her!
