I was perusing the pinned posts and looking at nutritional information, and I was just curious - what’s the general opinion on making home-made cooked food with wild-caught ocean fish? (Definitely not lake fish, I wouldn’t even eat those myself; too many contaminants.)

I’m a fisherman with the unfortunate disposition of actually not liking cooked fish, and I have a bunch of filleted Atlantic Ocean porgies in my freezer from a recent trip. Normally I just give them to friends, but - with the proper meal completer formula, can they be safely made into cat food? Obviously as with every fish there’s a risk of them containing mercury, so it wouldn’t be an “every day” food; maybe just once or twice a week (and def not for the kittens, just for my adult female and my adult feral boy.)

Anyway - please, weigh in and share your knowledge with me!

Hi, based on your comments it sounds to me that you're confident you can make nutritionally complete food, and although this is my opinion, I don't know any reason not to use them :)
