We got home around noon today. (And immediately had to spend an hour at the Verizon store at the mall. My cell phone died some time Thursday night into Friday morning; I've had no cell phone since then. That's why I didn't do Friday's QOTD....had it planned out, but no way to post it! My sincere apologies! I had no phone, Rick's phone battery was bordering on dead, and I was very disappointed in the WI-FI from the resort with my Nook. So no QOTD and no way to contact anybody else from the board.)
Anyway, we left around 5:00 this past Tuesday morning for WI and got home today. It was fun and I got to meet some outstanding people from Rick's union. And I got to meet the guy who Rick hangs around with all the time when he's in Portland. He's from southern LA and he's a real sweetie. I like him. He wants to come to PA sometime so we can take him around some of the Amish farms in our area. He's fascinated with the horses and buggies....we told him that, after a while? The fascination wears off.
He's truly a great guy.
The cats were......cats. Got home, opened the door, and were met by Muffin and Tabby. Everybody else went to the kitchen for their lunch. I couldn't find Mollipop any where in the house and I was frantic. I kept calling her and calling her. And finally, Rick said, "Calm down, she's lying on the kitchen chair!" What a snot! She could have cared less. I guess that with the petsitter coming twice a day, and my sister and BIL coming in every night, they had no cares. But we'll see what happens when I go to bed tonight....see if Molli comes to bed with me. She'd better!
Anyway, we are home, everything went very well. And I really did have a great time.
Oh, my cell phone? It was the Black Screen of Sleep. Evidently with the Droid Razr Maxx HDs, sometimes they go into a sleep and don't come back out on their own. The battery isn't dead or anything like that. The phone just sleeps. In order to get it to come back, you have to press the POWER button along with the lower VOLUME button at the same time for about 10 seconds or so. Then let it all go. The phone will wake-up at that point. But I didn't know that! Felt like an idiot. I was trying to charge my phone all day yesterday in the car as we drove from WI down into OH. And nothing. Well, that was why. During that time, it won't take a charge either. But it's all OK now and I have a phone again. Whew!
Will post more later. On my second load of laundry and I need to wash my car.
