what exactly does holistic mean? isnt it supposed to be all natural?
I agree. That is the only problem I have found with holistic foods. While the ingredients look good to us, it may not be the most beneficial to our cats.Originally Posted by momto3cats
I've noticed that "holisitic" foods often contain a lot of vegetables, fruits and herbs that really aren't appropriate for cats. Personally, I prefer good, simple foods with decent quality ingredients. That's what my cats do best on.
some is some isnt ... ... I think the others explained holistic well... as far as natural it is also buyer beware ./... AFFCO has no standards/ neither does the FDA for that matter... ...Originally Posted by jaycee
vegetables and herbs are still natural though. the reason i was asking was because i found menadione vit k in a can of holistic cat food. isnt that a synthetic ingredient?
