I feel so bad for the USA team!
They look so defeated. They worked hard, and they played well, and came so close.
Still, Silver is nothing to sneeze at either!
They should be very proud.

Fran, I'm so glad I'm over here and the 'hullaballoo' is over there!Originally Posted by rapunzel47

No kidding. We have to go into town later on. I think we won't take the carrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...Originally Posted by Russian Blue

Was listening a bit on TSN and they said they could hear the roar inside the broadcast building, then someone opened the door a smidge.....couldnt hear Briam Williams but sure heard the roar, and that was before the crowd got really big.Originally Posted by rapunzel47

I heard there was a pretty nifty street party in TO, too! They were still at it when we left town at 10 pm, and the Canada Line was full of revellers, complete with cowbells and horns and "O Canada!" in about 87 different keys. What a hoot!Originally Posted by pushylady

I didn't watch the game myself, but I was online when suddenly I heard horns honking and people cheering out on the street and thought "oh we must have won!". DH came home from his hockey watching party very happy. Glad it was such a nail biter, makes it all the more exciting!
Definitely, it was crazy enough out in the suburbs of 'over here' rather than being there!Originally Posted by Russian Blue
