Mike just got a delivery of a knife to repair. It is an old Bowie knife, circa 1930's, pretty beat up, but the sheath is what captured our attention. Carved in rough lettering across the back are six WWII Campaigns and dates, starting with the second landing of Baatan and ending with Mindinow.
The owner of the knife wants Mike to repair and clean up the sheath and knife so that he can pass it on to his grandson. It's pretty remarkable and makes me wish the knife could talk, because oh what a story it could tell!
